My first year of college has just wrapped up and I have learned a lot, but I’ve learned even more outside class than in it with the greatest Teacher. I have had things in darkness come to light and plans change direction on me. I’ve seen the Lord move in only ways that could happen when I set aside my own plans and let him do his work. His way is always better, not always easier, but better.
I’ve been reminded of the simple fact that the mission doesn’t start on September 5th…that’s just the day I leave to love on another country. I’ll just be taking the same mission that I carry today with me when I go there. The mission to share the simple gospel to those who will listen. To be love and serve how Jesus did. The mission is every day meeting with God for direction and being filled up by Him to go overflow to those you come into contact with, both here in Indiana or overseas in South Africa.
“Every day God invites us on the same kind of adventure. It’s not a trip where He sends us a rigid itinerary, He simply invites us. God asks what it is He’s made us to love, what it is that captures our attention, what feeds that deep indescribable need of our souls to experience the richness of the world He made. And then, leaning over us, He whispers, “Let’s go do that together.”
I am so excited for you Drew! May God lead you and bless in all of your endeavors!!!
Hey! This is super powerful. Keep this mindset because it will take you so far. It will be hard and you may forget, but keep this in your heart.
Glad to hear he has been seeing Gods presence many times in the first active week in South Africa. So proud of him following God’s request of him.
