open hands. my expectations are yours.
your sheep await your still small voice.
you are my desired choice.
in a loud world.

maker, you are acknowledged.
i trust when you say to slow.
these seeds are sown.
now, have your way.

for the leaves don’t doubt their timing.
when to grow, and when to go.
let us fall when you say.

a north-Georgian wind dances the evergreens.
when the wind comes, they are obedient.
they worship You.
let me be the same, here on my knees.

we know you Lord.
a close father, and familiar friend.
shepherd of my soul.

you offer rest, when we’ve been hurried.
to the striving of my soul.
“walk instead of run child.”, you utter,
“you shall not worry. trust my pace.”
