As you can see, that once present orange bar at the top of my blog has finally disappeared! On March 23rd, well before my deadline of April 12th, the Lord filled my fundraising bar and I am now FULLY FUNDED! Praise be to God for every donation and how it brings kingdom far beyond what those who donate can see. I just want to really thank y’all for choosing to be obedient to give when the Lord prompts. You may never see the faces, hear the hurts, or join in the freedom, but your monetary support helps myself and those all around the world get to bring Jesus and the good news of the Gospel to those unreached and those in need. Thank you!

Our God is Jehovah Jireh, or ‘God the Provider’. It is wild to think about how much we, myself included, worry about if He will provide for our needs, and He always does…every time. He is a God of provision and we saw that with Jesus providing atonement for us on the cross, literally providing us a way (The Way) for eternal life. It seems like we see what He did for us on the cross, but don’t let the cross impact our lives on a personal, intimate level. There are many potential problems with that approach, but one that I can see played out in my own life is missing that He wants to provide for me, not just as an all encompassing provider, but also a personal one. Not for Drew’s sake, but so I can continued to be the part of the body as I’ve been designed to, by Him, for His sake…for Christ’s sake, literally!!

25 Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?[g] 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” -Matthew 6:25-33

When we were at our mini debrief at the end of our time in Costa Rica, we went back to the foundation. We set aside the hype of spiritual giftings, settled our souls for a moment, and reflected on a few questions.

-What does the cross mean to me?
-Why am I following Jesus?
-What was the reason you gave Him all of your life?
-What does His resurrection mean in my day-to-day?

He has provided so much in our lives, and if you are struggling to see where, that is okay, but take the time to ask Him to remember where His hand has been on your life! He has been Jehovah Jireh for His people, and He is still today. Seek first His kingdom, and His righteousness, and all your needs will be given to you. He is faithful to provide because He is God almighty and a really Good Father. Whew, God is good!
